Frequently asked questions

Is my PAN or Aadhaar data stored?
No. All validation is done locally in your browser using pattern matching and checksum algorithms. Nothing is sent to any server. Your data never leaves your device.
How does IFSC lookup work?
We use the free Razorpay IFSC API which has a database of all RBI-registered bank branches in India. The result shows bank name, branch, address, city, state and MICR code.
What does the 4th character of PAN mean?
P = Individual person, C = Company, H = Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), F = Firm / Partnership, A = Association of Persons, B = Body of Individuals, G = Government, J = Artificial Juridical Person, L = Local Authority, T = Trust.
Does Aadhaar validation confirm my identity?
No. This tool only checks if the Aadhaar number has the correct 12-digit format and passes the Verhoeff checksum algorithm. It does not connect to UIDAI and cannot confirm if the number is real or assigned to a specific person.
